Purpose

One of the most difficult choices to make when embarking on the deployment of a grid site is the choice of cluster management system. The issue of eventual integration into gLite middleware components is especially important for SAGrid sites. This topic will be the start of a discussion and information-finding exercise which will contribute to the SAGrid Site Deployment Guide under preparation (mid-2009). Note - this topic is only for cluster deployment and system management, not for resource management and schedulers, which is discussed at another topic? .

Overview

The structure of this topic is essentially a list of cluster management and integration suites, with a discussion of their pros and cons. In some cases, a case study or experience of sites will also be given. As a start, we give a list of general resources and links :
